Pontefract Collieries Football Club

Traineeship

Inspire and Educate Ltd have joined in partnership with Pontefract Collieries Football Club to offer a full time 12-week Traineeship. This includes a minimum of 360 hours of work experience in a variety of roles with in the Club, along with sporting qualifications that will allow students to progress to employment or further education.

 

You will work towards the First4Sport Level 2 Award in Principles of Coaching Sport, a National Governing Body coaching qualification and upskill your English and Maths.

 

You will gainwork experience at a semi-professional football club where you can learn from previous Traineeship learners who are currently working in and around the Club and FA Level 1 and 2 coaches

ESF Short Courses in Various Occupational Areas

For 16 - 18 year olds who are looking for help to move on.  A range of short courses of different durations available at locations across the Wakefield District and starting throughout the year.  Course options include Construction, Hospitality, Motor Vehicle, IT, Customer Service, Sport, Business, Health & Social Care and Outdoor Conservation. 

You will also:

  • Gain a recognised qualification
  • Take part in work experience or visits to employers
  • Improve your skills and confidence
  • Learn how to complete CV's and applications, and prepare for interviews
  • Get support from a mentor for 6 months after you complete the programme

Hours:  9.30am to 4.00pm over 2 days

Bus fares reimbursed and lunch provided.  There may be a bursary available depending on individual circumstances

You will work towards a Level 1 certificate in Public Services, Functional Skills in Maths and English up to Level 2 or GCSE Maths and English (depending on prior attainment and current level of ability), vocationally relevant work experience and non accredited work in personal and social development.

Get Creative Opportunity at Hepworth, Wakefield

Are you unemployed?  Age 16-25? Looking for something to improve your confidence?

The Hepworth Wakefield offers informal creative sessions where you can drop in for as little or as long as you choose.  You can have a go at a range of art techniques, meet other young people in small groups and have fun. No previous experience of art is necessary, just a willingness to have a go.

You may also get the opportunity to complete a Bronze and/or Silver Arts Award for FREE.  

Lunch is provided and they will reimburse bus fares.
