Brief Overview: Timber is an essential part of just about every structure, and it's the carpenter and joiner's job to prepare it and put it into place. It's a skilled job that utilises special tools, and often involves many different kinds of wood. You’ll gain a firm foundation of skills, experience and recognized qualifications.

Wage: £189.15 - £302.64 (weekly)

Woking Hours: 

39 Hours per week Monday to Friday

Total hours per week: 39.00

Alternatively, you could join one of our subcontractors, you could go self-employed, or in some areas you could join Barratt permanently as a qualified tradesperson. For Technical and Commercial roles, once you’ve completed your Advanced Apprenticeship, you could choose to progress to a tailored specialist programme to pursue your chosen career path.

Get Creative Opportunity at Hepworth, Wakefield

Are you unemployed?  Age 16-25? Looking for something to improve your confidence?

The Hepworth Wakefield offers informal creative sessions where you can drop in for as little or as long as you choose.  You can have a go at a range of art techniques, meet other young people in small groups and have fun. No previous experience of art is necessary, just a willingness to have a go.

You may also get the opportunity to complete a Bronze and/or Silver Arts Award for FREE.  

Lunch is provided and they will reimburse bus fares.
