Network Construction Operations (Water) Apprenticeship

Brief Overview: Water Mainlayer / Servicelayer Using maps and plans to locate digging location, preparing excavations by hand or use of mechanical equipment, laying and repairing mains pipes or systems and making connections to the water network. Repairing excavations and pavements on completion of work.

Working Hours:

10 Hour shift between the hours of 07.00 to 17.30 Mon to Friday I/2 hour for Lunch 12:30hrs to 13:00hrs 21 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays Monthly paid You will also be expected to adopt a flexible approach to meet the timescales and deadlines

(the hours are based on the candidate being over 18)

Travel expenses paid and accommodation paid whilst on training.

Because of the nature of the work Health & Safety that is the reason they have to be 18 and they need to be able to get to work in the morning and therefore require transport

Utility Construction Training (UCT) based in Carrington, Manchester will be where the training is going to be held only.

Traineeships will give you the skills and experience to progress into an apprenticeship or employment.

You will recieve:

  • A traineeship work experience oppurtunitiy in Retail/Warehouse
  • An incentive of £20.00 per week (not eligible if claiming benefits)
  • £15 travel allowance available for those who require public transport to get to the traineeship location
  • The essential skills which will prepare you for oppurtunities within the Retail/Warehouse industry  

The traineeship will last 6 months.
