Train Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship

Brief Overview:  Our maintenance apprentices will have the opportunity to work in one of our teams, ensuring our trains are ready for service. This will include preparing the train, planned maintenance and  preventative maintenance.
Wage:  £12,000.00
Working Hours:  Monday - Friday - 9am-5pm in first 12 months. Shifts that will include weekends, evenings and nights at depot   37 p/w
 
Location:  Doncaster Road, Crofton, WF4 1RP
 
Working Towards:

 Apprentices receive a comprehensive apprentice development programme that includes learning about how our trains work and are maintained as well as training that enhances your employability and behavioural skills. At College you will learn the underpinning knoweldge and skills to perform in your role.

This is a 3-year apprenticeship at Level 3. Training will be a combination of depot practical experience - fixing and maintaining our trains and block-release technical training at Birmingham Met College.You will also be given a number of weeks of specialist training by the Bombardier Training team.

During your first 21 weeks you'll be living and learning at Network Rail's training centre in the Midlands. For the remainder of the 3 year programme you will work out of your local depot.
Wage: £182.28 (weekly wage) 
Working Hours:

Weekly hours over 7 days TBC. Shift work is included.
