This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are looking to start at career within Pharmacy. This post will be based at Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield but will involve visits to other trust sites in Barnsley, Dewsbury, Halifax and Huddersfield. 

This role is full time 37.5 hours per week.

Training Description:

This is a full-time post and includes day release for college, via a blended learning approach, during term time. In addition, allocated study time is provided in the workplace.

The successful candidate will become part of a friendly and professional Pharmacy Team, supporting different specialities in acute mental health, forensic and rehabilitation settings.

Full Description:
  • Process stock orders for deliveries to wards
  • Dispense clinically validated prescriptions 
  • Perform 3 way checks 
  • Stock rotation
  • Assist in ordering of new medications 
  • Customer Service
  • Completing documentation
  • Disposal of waste medication
  • Reception duties
  • Work closely with Senior Pharmacy Assistant and Pharmacist
  • Process Invoices and support with procurement of medicines
  • Promote professional image of pharmacy 
Outcome Description:

On successful completion of their first year, the successful candidate will provide a pharmacy service to the ward environment. Full training and support will be given.

Description of Working Week:

Standard working pattern is 9.00am until 5.00pm, Monday- Friday, with weekend commitment.
Participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota.
