The team reached out to J multiple times and eventually managed to contact him via Facebook. At that time J was sofa surfing and wasn’t sure what to do next. The team spoke with J on a few occasions via Facebook and helped him to understand housing options and how to claim benefits. Once J’s living situation was more stable, he was ready to think about getting into work or training. As J was living independently for the first time, the team thought that J would benefit from some face-to-face support. J agreed and so with his consent the team passed on his details to Wakefield Council’s Employment Hub, and he was allocated an adviser. After being supported face to face J began a Traineeship.
